All MSA students must demonstrate competence in these areas to help ensure their success in several of the MSA core courses. Students can satisfy the competency requirement either through taking prerequisite courses, or by achieving an appropriate score on their CMU competency assessments.

However, many of the students who chose the CA option want to review the key concepts the competency assessments cover, before taking the assessments. CA workshops online give you a convenient way to do that.

The online CA workshops are offered every 12 weeks, in a two-week format. The cost is $150. After refreshing your skills, you can take a competency assessment separately at the nearest CMU program center or through a proctor.

The workshops are not intended to teach elementary skills, but to refresh and enhance knowledge that a student already has.

In addition to the CA online workshops, CMU also offers workshops at local centers in some of its larger metropolitan areas.
