New dean on the scene

The College of Extended Learning has a new dean.

Marcia Bankirer, CEL’s new dean/vice-provost comes to us from the University of Denver where she was vice president of Program Development and Assessment. She has also served as academic vice president of Jones International University, senior academic officer at Western Governors University, director of Extended and Continuing Education at Iowa State University and has had several positions at Colorado State University.

"CEL is what CMU needs to move into the future," said Bankirer, adding that this is also part of CMU president Rao’s vision for CEL as well. "We will be working on increasing enrollments and moving more into the corporate area," she said.
