Online Pre-Class Checklist 

TI T3 ProgramsTo ensure a successful term beginning, complete the following checklist. It may be helpful to print and keep for future reference. Refer to the term schedule to determine the start and end date of your course.

FIND OUT IF ONLINE LEARNING WILL WORK FOR YOU at http://www.cel.cmich.edu/ti/isit4u.aspx.

VISIT THE SYSTEM TEST PAGE at www.cel.cmich.edu/system-check. Make sure your computer system meets all requirements before starting classes.

OBTAIN CMU GLOBAL ID and PASSWORD: All currently enrolled students are assigned a CMU global ID. New students will be assigned a global ID upon admission.

The CMU student ID number and global ID will become your lifeline to CMU, as you will need them to access your CMU e-mail, login to your Blackboard course, and access your grades online!

Please contact the CMU Help Desk at (800) 950-1144, ext. 3662, or via e-mail at helpdesk@cmich.edu to obtain your CMU global ID and password.

The CMU Help Desk hours of operation are:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m.-midnight EST
  • Friday: 7 a.m.-9 p.m. EST
  • Saturday: 12 p.m. -6 p.m. EST
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. - midnight EST

ACCESS YOUR CMU E-MAIL ACCOUNT at https://cmail.cmich.edu. Check the account regularly for billing statements and other course correspondence from the University. Bills will not be sent via the US postal service, but sent only to your CMU e-mail account.

ACCESS YOUR COURSE on Blackboard at http://blackboard.cmich.edu. Please note: If you login prior to the official start of the term, your specific course may not be available.

NOTE: Students who cease/fail to submit coursework or login, and who have not formally withdrawn from their course will receive a final grade of "E". For information on the withdrawal policy and procedure see: www.cel.cmich.edu/ti/withdraw.aspx
