TI-Nspire™ Courses

 

These training courses will focus on the integration of
TI-Nspire™ technology into the classroom with the use of content-specific activities for Algebra I, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Geometry and Physics.

3 day training 1 semester hour of credit

Requirements: Verification of successful completion of the TI-Nspire™ site-based training and completion of a pre-post assessment instrument.

Anyone completing the three-day TI-Nspire™ training is eligible to register for credit through Central Michigan University in the semester that coincides with the site-based training.

 

Online 8-week course 3 semester hours of credit

Requirements: Verification of successful completion of the three-day TI-Nspire™ training and access to the TI-Nspire™ handheld technology and software.

TI-Nspire™ Instructor

Dennis St. John is a professor, presenter and publishedDennis St. John author. For the past 14 years he has been a mathematics educator in the Department of Mathematics of Central Michigan University. Prior to that, he taught secondary mathematics for twelve years in Colorado and Iowa. He is currently working on two grant funded projects. One of the projects is a school improvement program in the Bullock Creek School District and the other is a curriculum development project at CMU for the National Science Foundation. He has presented workshops and institutes for Texas Instruments for the past twelve years. He and has published numerous activities and one book with Texas Instruments in addition to publications with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

He received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

  1. Register for your TI-Nspire™ program through the Texas Instruments Web site.
  2. Apply to CMU (Non-degree Admission) and register prior to the registration deadline date – you can apply online or print out and mail in your form to the address below.
