About the camp...
The CMU High School Summer Music Camp is open to all high school keyboard, woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists and vocal students. Camp participants interact with CMU faculty members, perform in chamber ensembles, and participate in concert band in our state-of-the-art concert halls. While at Music Camp, students stay in the CMU residence halls, eat in the dining commons and experience college life first hand. The camp is sponsored by the School of Music and CMU’s Off-Campus Programs.
At our summer music camp you can...
- Study with CMU faculty members
- Perform in chamber ensembles
- Study jazz improvisation
- Perform in jazz band
- Perform in vocal choir
- Perform in concert band
- Take private lessons with CMU faculty members
(additional charge applies) - Study music technology
- Perform in saxophone choir
- Study music theory
- Visit the Student Activity Center
