What is a Virtual Advisor?
Through the use of Wimba technology, interactive online advising is available and
provides students with an opportunity to participate in an advising session from
wherever Internet service is available. Students with access to a microphone or
phone connection may talk directly with the advisor. Everyone can communicate by
typing.
Through the use of Wimba students may view documents (e.g. Program Plan, Transfer
Credit Evaluations, etc.) as they relate to the advising appointment.
Additionally, if a webcam is available this technology may be incorporated to
