Bachelor of Science in Education, Elementary Emphasis

Successful completion of this program will result in recommendation for Elementary Provisional Certification with an Integrated Science major, and either a Reading minor or Planned Program minor. In addition, a Child Development minor (ZA endorsement) is an option. This degree and certification allows one to teach all subjects K-5, K-8 in a self-contained classroom, and science and optionally reading in grades 6 – 8 (upon completion of the required subject area tests). The ZA endorsement is highly sought after for someone wishing to teach Pre-K through grade 3. This program is offered in our Traverse City, Michigan location only.
