  1. Faculty Seminar Series

    The Faculty Seminar Series is an opportunity for you to meet with local CMU faculty to discuss issues and share techniques and strategies for teaching adult learners in nontraditional formats. NO TRAVEL COSTS WILL BE REIMBURSED.

    • Blackboard Task Workshop
      Are you new to Blackboard or just want to become more comfortable with it? This workshop is for you! This is an open-entry/open-exit workshop designed to let you work at your own pace.

     

    • Teaching Online
      If you are preparing to teach an online class or are interested in teaching online in the future, then this workshop is for you. Teaching online covers pedagogical aspects of teaching in an online format while providing experience from a student side of the online classroom.
       
  3. Fair Use WebCast: Faculty and staff participated in a discussion of copyright and fair use guidelines with Assistant General Counsel Mary Roy on Friday, January 20, 2006.
     
  4. You Can Give a Great Presentation: Would you like to learn how to use PowerPoint, Corel, Freelance Graphics, Microsoft or Visio? New Horizons has teamed with human resources to bring you this online training for one year at a very competitive discount. For $111 you will have access to the Office Productivity Library until January 2007. Learn how to give great presentations and much more.   5. The ProfEd Training site can be accessed using your CMU global id and password. This site contains guides to help you use Microsoft applications as well as an opportunity for you to take online courses on Microsoft applications. In addition, this site has many other opportunities and information, including links for free application downloads and to the Filebank for sharing large files.
