Paper MSA Degree or Graduate Certificate Program Plans

Effective August 1, 2007, Center Services will no longer accept paper MSA degree or Graduate Certificates program plans. This should not be a surprise to anyone as our advisors have been very active in using our electronic program plans. Since opening the SIS Program Plan System to all MSA advisors, six (6) months ago, more than 1,100 degree and certificate program plans have been developed for our students. Congratulations and thanks to all advisors and center staff; your efforts have made this a successful transition.  Patricia J. Fox.

Blackboard Purge of Old Courses Delayed Until October 1st

The Blackboard Purge originally scheduled for Monday, July 9th has been postponed to Monday, October 1st due to concerns raised over the timing. Reminders, instructions and additional information will be distributed as the new purge date approaches.

Combined Course Shells in Blackboard

It is possible for the students in multiple (two or more) sections of a course to be merged together in a newly created single course site. Doing so can provide a number of conveniences for instructors and offer additional opportunities for interaction to students including a single e-mail list, gradebook and class roster. The existence of a combined site also eliminates the need to post the same documents or information in multiple locations. To learn more about combined course shells click here (http://www.facit.cmich.edu/workshops-training/blackboard/combine-shells.html).
