New OCLS Librarian
Off-Campus Library Services is pleased to
introduce Jennifer Rundels as our newest Librarian. Jennifer
comes to us after having worked at Portico Electronic Archiving
in Princeton, New Jersey and in the libraries of both General
Motors and DaimlerChrysler here in Michigan. She earned her
Master of Library and Information Science degree from Wayne
State University.
Jennifer will work in the Park Library on campus
in Mount Pleasant and, as part of her regular duties, will be
responsible for providing classroom instruction to sites in
greater Michigan and our two locations in Ohio. Please join us
in extending a warm ProfEd welcome to Jennifer.
End-of-Course Student
Survey Updated
The End-of Course Student Survey (EOC) is
currently utilized for any course delivered outside of the Mount
Pleasant campus. A group worked collaboratively over the last
four months to convert the EOC to mirror the on-campus Student
Opinion Survey (SOS) while still maintaining additional aspects
of the EOC useful to off-campus instructors and administrators.
This change to the EOC will allow an on-campus faculty member to
use this new survey for any off-campus CMU course and obtain a
measurement of teaching effectiveness that is consistent with
on-campus courses. If they so desire, faculty will then be able
to use the comparative off-campus EOC and on-campus SOS scores
for use in Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure materials. If
you have questions, please contact Al Zainea at (989) 774-3616.
