The master’s degree in sport administration is designed to prepare individuals for an administrative career in a sport-related field. The program curriculum is centered on providing students with an education that can prepare them for addressing the ever-changing conditions and emerging issues within the sports industry and the world. Students from this program go on to succeed in management positions in a variety of sport related venues including:

  • College and university athletic departments
  • Middle and high school athletic programs
  • Sport facilities
  • Sport governing bodies
  • City and county recreation departments
  • Professional sports
  • Major sporting events

The curriculum is taught in a cohort format with face to face classes. Through the courses and a six-credit internship in sport administration students receive both theoretical and practical experience. We are proud that the MA in Sport Administration is the preferred degree for college athletic administration positions and has been developed to meet the National Association for Sport and Physical Education – North American Society for Sport Management standards for program approval.
