Master of Arts degree in Sport Administration
The master’s degree in sport administration is designed to prepare individuals
for an administrative career in a sport-related field. The program curriculum is
centered on providing students with an education that can prepare them for
addressing the ever-changing conditions and emerging issues within the sports
industry and the world. Students from this program go on to succeed in
management positions in a variety of sport related venues including:
- College and university athletic departments
- Middle and high school athletic programs
- Sport facilities
- Sport governing bodies
- City and county recreation departments
- Professional sports
- Major sporting events
The curriculum is taught in a cohort format with face to face classes. Through
the courses and a six-credit internship in sport administration students receive
both theoretical and practical experience. We are proud that the MA in Sport
Administration is the preferred degree for college athletic administration
positions and has been developed to meet the National Association for Sport and
Physical Education – North American Society for Sport Management standards for
program approval.
