Bachelor of Science - Elementary Teacher Education Program
The Lansing Community College/Central Michigan University collaborative program
for teacher preparation provides a unique approach for individuals in the
greater Lansing area to become a certified teacher at the elementary level. This
program was designed to provide LCC students with an option to take CMU courses
in order to complete a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a major
in Integrated Science and a minor in Reading.
All program coursework and field experiences will be offered at either Lansing
Community College or the Central Michigan University-East Lansing Center.
Satisfactory completion of all course and program requirements will result in
the B.S. in Education degree from CMU and a recommendation to the Michigan
Department of Education for the Michigan Provisional Elementary teaching
certificate. We are very pleased to have you teaching for us and hope you will
share our mission and enjoy working with our students.
