Central Michigan University Off-Campus Programs

The master’s degree designed for Canadian professionals & educators
Central Michigan University’s Master of Arts degree in Education with a Community College concentration is a U.S. degree taught primarily by Canadian professors. The program is sought after by working professionals, community college administrators and educators in a wide variety of training careers. It is offered onsite at several Ontario colleges:

  • George Brown College
  • Georgian College
  • Humber College
  • Loyalist College

Master of Arts degree in Education with a Community College concentration
The focus of this degree is on educating adults and traditional students at the Community College level. Many educators and college administrators in Canada have earned this degree as well as hospital administrators and military leaders.

  • 33 credit hours
  • Classes taught locally
  • No entrance examinations required
  • Weekend classes

Concentration courses include:  

  • Strategies and Techniques for Teaching
  • Student Development in Higher Education
  • Administration of Community Colleges
  • Contemporary Issues in Higher Education

The degree program is taught in a cohort format, where a group of students follow a set schedule of courses from start to finish, that helps to foster professional networks and personal bonds with your peers.
