Withdraw from a CMU Off-Campus Course
All students dropping or withdrawing from a course after the start date
will be assessed a withdrawal fee of $50 in addition to the refund
percentage in the course
drops/withdrawals chart. Withdrawal requests must be submitted prior to the
midpoint of your course. You will not be withdrawn from a course without
written notification. Students who cease or fail to attend (virtual or
otherwise) without formally withdrawing from the course will receive a grade
of “E.”
You may not drop or withdraw from any course after the term midpoint.
Telephone requests to withdraw will not be accepted.
Important Note: This online withdrawal form is for CMU
Online (web and learning package) students only. Students taking courses at
other CMU centers who wish to withdraw must contact their CMU Center
directly.
For CMU Online students wishing to withdraw:
- Complete the form below and click SUBMIT.
- You will receive a copy of this submission at your email address. Save this email as proof of your request to withdraw.
- CMU Online will act upon your request and will send a confirmation of your withdrawal to your email within 48 business hours.
