Karen Haskin, MSA, RHIT has more than 22 years of healthcare administration experience. She is employed by St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw as the Director of Physician Specialty Services. She completed her graduate degree at Central Michigan University, with a Master of Science in Administration degree with a Healthcare Administration concentration. Karen completed her undergraduate degree in Health Information Management at Ferris State University. Karen is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Medical Practice Executives, and the American Health Information Management Association. She has served as adjunct faculty for Ferris State University. She also served as interim Director of the Health Information technology program at Mid-Michigan Community College, during which time she coordinated the process of submitting the accreditation application for the Commission on Health Informatics and Information Management Education. Karen and her family are long time community members of the mid-Michigan area. She grew up in Breckenridge and worked for Gratiot Medical Center in Alma for more than 9 years. Her daughter is also a CMU graduate who currently teaches for Mt. Pleasant High School. Karen resides in Clare County with her husband.
