Mr. Gregg Beeg, MBA has
over 27 years of experience in healthcare financial administration and
operations management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting from Ferris State University and his Master of Business
Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University. Early in his career
he developed sound financial skills in general ledger accounting, budgeting
and third party billing and collections at the University of Michigan
Medical Center, a 1,069 licensed bed tertiary care teaching hospital. He
then broadened his financial skills as the Director of Budget and
Reimbursement at Saginaw General Hospital (now known as Covenant Medical
Center), a 337 licensed bed acute care teaching hospital. In 1997, he served
as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for joint ventures and subsidiaries at
Saint Mary's Medical Center (SMMC) (Trinity Health Corporation), a 324
licensed bed acute care teaching hospital. During his tenure at SMMC, he was
responsible for the start up development of the mid-west's largest Behavior
Health joint venture, a 150 licensed bed organization known as Pine Rest
Mercy Care.
Currently, Mr. Beeg is the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Central Michigan Community Hospital and has had the privilege of developing the strategic financial turnaround plan for this 137 licensed bed acute care hospital. During his career he has been an active member of professional organizations such as the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American Association of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Mr. Beeg has also served on numerous Board of Directors', including academic for graduate medical education as well as community based organizations. Mr. Beeg enjoys outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, baseball, hockey, and skiing. |
