In addition to the General Education Requirements and Major courses, Plan A requires 24 semester hours of Other Degree Requirements, an approved Minor and electives. A minor is optional on this degree.
The Bachelor of Science degree focuses on the exploration and achievement in the liberal arts, including humanities but with an emphasis on natural or social sciences. In addition to the general education requirements, you must complete course work in the areas of Humanities, Natural Science and Social Sciences. This degree requires 18 semester hours of Other Degree Requirements as part of the degree requirements.
Minors for the Bachelor of Science – Plan B degree consist of 21-24 credit hours (depending on the field of study). Credit can be earned through CMU classroom courses, prior learning, and independent study. Courses not offered through CMU programs can be transferred in from other accredited institutions. Additional minors may become available. Minors on the Bachelor of Science – Plan A are optional. For information contact your academic advisor or program center. Your degree requires 124 semester hours to graduate. Once your degree requirements are complete, you may still need credits to achieve 124. You may select courses that are of interest to you. We do recommend that you choose your courses in consultation with your academic advisor.
