Grades
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) restricts the
information that may be disclosed without student consent. In an effort to
protect your right to privacy we do not disclose grade information via phone
or e-mail. Instead, you are able to access your own information via the CMU
Portal with your secure password. The CMU Portal is more than just a
registration tool. Through the CMU Portal you can access your grades,
unofficial transcripts, course schedules, account information, payment
history, etc.
To view your grades or academic history on the CMU Portal at
https://portal.cmich.edu:
- Global ID and password
- Select "Academics" from the top menu
- Under "My Records & Registration" select "My Academic History"
- Enter the Level (Graduate/Doctoral)
- <Submit>
This will provide you with course information, GPA, semester hours
completed, etc.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR FOR GRADES – WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO
RELEASE THIS INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE OR VIA E-MAIL.
