"Wimba and its Learning Opportunities" Workshop Application Form

 

CMU has adopted Wimba as a synchronous and asynchronous communication tool to enhance teaching and learning. Wimba’s Live Classroom provides a live virtual classroom with multi-way audio, video, content display, eBoard, polling, application sharing, Breakout Rooms, etc.  Wimba’s Live Classroom is available through Blackboard course shells.

 

The Center for Instructional Design is offering one hour online training sessions to faculty. Please note that these sessions are taught in sequence Session 1 should be completed before taking sessions 2 and/or 3. The times listed below are on Eastern Standard Time.

 

All fields are required.






Training sessions in April, 2008:    
Session 1 – Set up, Audio and Video, Text Chat, and Content Display
Tuesday, April 8, 7:00-8:00 p.m. EST
 
Wednesday, April 9, 9:00-10:00 a.m. EST
 
Session 2 – eBoard, Web, and Polling
Tuesday, April 15, 7:00-8:00 p.m. EST
 
Wednesday, April 16, 9:00-10:00 a.m. EST
 
Session 3 – Desktop Sharing and Breakout Rooms
Tuesday, April 22, 7:00-8:00 p.m. EST
 
Wednesday, April 23, 9:00-10:00 a.m. EST
